This work goes with “We Are What We Were”. Light and shadow of clothing on a line can be interpreted many ways. These are men’s clothes, but women wash them, yet women are in the shadow, and if you take away the men, then women lose their value and purpose. The clothes are always there, but if the sun goes behind a cloud, the shadow goes away. Women are not permanent, but they are dependent upon men. Gray colors, shades of white, and shadows on snow create a feeling of sadness. This is the han. |
