In my sculpture, I use materials which are traditionally associated with women’s art such as fabric, pins, thread, or paper and ink as well as natural items like grains, dried plants, and stones. Where possible I use traditional methods to make the paper mache, glue, and other materials. I use these materials to create forms with colors and symbols that have layers of meaning in conflicting and complimenting ways. |
